September:  Sirens Of  The Soil  Meeting

We met at Carol Parsley's house to make a  flower bed for her Mom who lives behind her.We made the bed along the front of her home where she will add potted plants.  Carol has been a great asset to her Mom, Metta who has been suffering with Parkinson's Disease.

Carols homestead is becoming self sufficient. She has a nice garden, chickens, and practices composting.

Here is her Mom's finished bed.  We ran out of materials so Carol finished the bed herself!  That was some heavy intensive labor but it turned out very neat and tidy!  It will look spectacular when she fills the bed with plants.

When she moved her Mom here from Pearland, she brought her ladder and made this nice little bed featuring her Mom's ladder. These two pics were taken several months apart.

June/July and August Hiatus

Sirens of the Soil hibernate during those hot, Hot , HOT Days of summer.  It is just to hot to be outside so we wait patiently for FALL!!!!  We all vacationed, and only headed outside for a quick photo op or a dip in the pool.

But not all the flowers in our gardens were from the plant kingdom!
